Usu Crater, Funka Kinen (Eruption Memorial) Park

Shiraoi Ainu Museum

There used to be large Ainu communities in Shiraoi. At present, the shore of Lake Poroto accommodates Porotokotan, where such communities have been reestablished to convey the lifestyle and culture of the Ainu at that time.
Niseko Panorama Line, Oyunuma

Prefectural Road No. 66 between Niseko and Iwanai is a drive route called "Panorama Line." The road is studded with lakes and marshes, including Shinsen Marsh and Naganuma, providing ample opportunity to enjoy beautiful scenes that vary from season to season. Along the road are several noted hot springs, inviting travelers who like hot spring bathing.

Otaru Canal

Otaru Canal features rows of old warehouses and impressive antique gas lamps. Around the canal stand restaurants and souvenir shops. Many tourists visit for nostalgic feelings and comfort throughout the year.
Clock Tower

This building was constructed in 1878 as a drill house for Sapporo Agricultural College. Since established in 1881, the clock tower, a symbol of Sapporo, has been sounding each hour for its citizens.
Sapporo Snow Festival

Winter in Sapporo is represented by this snow festival. With several hundreds of snow statues of various sizes at Odori Park, concerts and other events are held during the festival. In the freezing cold, snow statues illuminated at night create a dreamy world.

Old Hokkaido Government Building
Known with the nickname "Aka Renga" (Red Bricks), this neo-baroque building was built in 1888. Designated as an important national cultural asset, the building houses document and historical museums, both open to the public.
Muroran marine watching
You may see schools of whales swimming and dolphins playing off Cape Chikyu. From May to June, there is the highest possibility of encountering whales. The untamed shorelines are also worth seeing.
Okurayama Jump Hill
This large jump hill was used at the 1972 Olympic Winter Games in Sapporo. The top of the hill commands a panoramic view of the city, and the adjoining museum provides opportunities to experience simulated winter sports.
