Mt. Asahi-dake
PH
This is the highest mountain in Hokkaido at 2,290 m above sea level. In autumn, conifers and broadleaf trees color the hilly area in an alternating pattern, and enchant many visitors with their beauty. A ropeway accessible from the foot of the mountain takes visitors to the top.
Teuri, Yagishiri Islands
PH
Teuri and Yagishiri Islands are situated off the coast of Haboro Town. While Teuri Island is characterized as a large breeding area for sea birds, Yagishiri Island features forests of yew trees that display their own unique way of surviving the severe natural environment.
Lake Shumarinai
PH
Lake Shumarinai, which was formed due to the Uryu Daiichi Dam, has 13 floating islands both large and small, and creates a beautiful landscape even more exquisite than a natural lake. Being far from any human dwelling, the lake is inhabited by large freshwater fish, such as ito (Japanese huchen), rainbow trout and cherry salmon, and is a very popular fishing spot.

Panke & Penke Marshes
PH
Panke is the largest marsh in the Sarobetsu Plain. Around the marsh is a vast wetland, where hygrophytes are in full bloom in summer, and wild animals live peacefully, including red foxes, Sika deer and sables.
Rishiri, Rebun
PH
Rishiri Island is also called "Rishiri Fuji" because of its elegant appearance. Rebun Island, with its beautiful swamp "Himenuma," is covered with precious alpine plants, which are at their most beautiful from mid-June to mid-July.
