Northern Hokkaido is the northernmost part of Japan. The area features vast primeval marshes, islands inhabited by rare sea birds and plants - Rishiri, Rebun, Teuri and Yagishiri Islands - and the Teshio River leisurely winding through marshes. In such primeval nature, beautiful and lovely flowers firmly take root and bloom elegantly.

Central Hokkaido covers an area stretching 100 km in every direction, with the northern city Sapporo at its center. The area is dotted with many primary cities of industry / tourism in Hokkaido, including Sapporo, the canal town Otaru, Noboribetsu and Jozankei famous for their hot spring resorts, and Hidaka, where thoroughbred horses graze. Beautiful gardens sprawling in this area consist of many varieties of flowers, from wild grasses to introduced species.

Eastern Hokkaido features large-scale landscapes of mountains, lakes, grasslands and marshes, embraced by natural magnificence. In the midst of preserved nature, many wild animals live among attractive wild flowers. Strongly influenced by the cold currents off the Sea of Okhotsk, many flowers, which are rare in other areas, are nurtured by this region's unique climate.

This area is the nearest to Honshu and sees spring the earliest in Hokkaido. Located between the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean, the region is strongly influenced by ocean currents and inhabited by flowers with a variety of characteristics. Since it was developed long time ago, the land is dotted with numerous castles and temples, attracting many tourists who would like to see beautiful flowers in peaceful harmony with old streets.
